Hi everyone,

The Ring is looking for a 'Bridal Correspondent' to interview nearlyweds and married couples at bridal shows, in addition to vendors, for our online project, RingTV.

Hmmm... Any divas in The Ring?!!

The perfect Bridal Correspondent will be ::
- Not perfect. No supermodels required. Natural beauty and easy-to-love personality a must.
- Energetic, a born leader
- Comfortable in front of the camera
- A natural and talking and making friends in all settings
- A public speaker
- A visionary, able to see the shot before it happens
- Be a director, producer and correspondent in one
- Flexible. Things go wrong, plans change, some people are difficult, some end up being a story on their own. You look at changes and challenges as a breeze and love to roll with the punches.
- be able to direct the camera person to getting the best shots
- Be just as comfy interviewing from behind a mic as you are plopping down on the couch between a bride and groom and interviewing them that way.

A Bridal Correspondent's Job Description ::
- Interview brides, wedding parties, grooms, vendors and show coordinators and/or sponsors
- Ask questions that get great answers.
- Find a story quickly, cover it, then move on. No epic movies needed.
- Put people at ease if they start to get nervous.
- Get interviewees pumped, having fun with it, smiling, sharing some out-of-the-ordinary information
- Be comfortable running your own camera (with instruction, of course) for smaller shows
- Have moderate availability in peak show seasons such as September to October and January to March.

Be willing to work for almost nothing and, of course, for the undying gratitude from brides in The Ring - the same brides who, thanks to you, will soon be addicted to ringTV too! This job will likely pay $75-150 per show.

Interested? Email jobs@theweddingring.ca with 'I'm dying to be the first ringTV Bridal Video Correspondent' in the subject line. In the email, tell us why you want the job and why we'll love you. [/b]

Love it, Deeva! We'll be holding 'on air auditions' in the very near future, where the girls that applied will have the fabulous job of interviewing inanimate objects and proving their ablities. It'll be fun, if not hilarious.

So if there are any last minute apps waiting out there, send them in before you're out of luck! There's nothing more fun than covering bridal shows and real weddings in our awesome local communities out there.
Smile

Also, we're now taking applications for coverage of wedding dates. You can submit your wedding for consideration at

Inanimate objects - BRILLIANT!!! Looking forward to it!

Jenn, can you confirm if you received my application please? It was sent to 'jobs@theweddingring.ca' from donnanelson@sympatico.ca.

Thanks a bunch!
